The Entrata Thermal Glove focuses on the essential elements of a winter cycling glove. We made the outer layer both windproof for warmth and stretchy for comfort. Then we added a layer of PrimaLoft insulation and an inner layer of lightly brushed fleece. This construction makes the glove insanely soft inside. This is a modern interpretation of the wind shell jacket, the one you keep in your pocket for a long descent or put on for the first hour of the ride until the day warms up. That jacket used to be a simple affair — a nylon shell — but the lack of stretch meant that it had to be cut on the generous side to fit all body shapes, both on and off the bike. We've completely reimagined what the shell jacket should be and how it's constructed. We've added panels on the sides and the sleeves in a very high-stretch yet tightly knit fabric that allows us to give the jacket a modern, close-to-body fit for aero gains on any terrain, and it actually keeps more heat in than a jacket that's flapping about. We've kept it very compact so that it can pack away into minimal space in a jersey pocket. This jersey is made for those JRA rides. Just riding along. You're not aiming for new Strava records or to win the city-limit sprints, but you do want a jersey that's comfortable and looks great. The baggy-short look without the feel, thanks to the slimmer fit and stretch woven fabric. We reached for a stretch woven fabric that gives great stretch but in an unbelievably lightweight yet durable fabric. We gave it a DWR finish so mud and water roll-off. We gave the short two top-opening pockets like jeans so that whatever you put in there won't fall out. We made the cut fairly close to the body so you look good off the bike but the short doesn't balloon out when you're on the bike. It all just kinda disappears. The name velocissima means "very fast" in Italian, and indeed there's a lot of speed in this jersey, even though it wasn't designed as a race jersey. It brings together three different fabrics for fit as well as comfort. The main jersey fabric is a soft 100% polyester micromesh with Castelli's prosecco wicking treatment to keep you dry. Side panels are in a stretch mesh for ventilation and improved fit. The sleeves are lifted directly from Castelli's pro race jersey, but in this case because the four-way-stretch fabric with raw-cut sleeve endings is as comfortable as it is aerodynamic. The velocissima jersey is not lacking in technical details, but it was also designed to look good.
